INGREDIENTS:
- 8 tsp grainy mustard
- 4 tsp honey
- 8 oz aged cheddar, cut into 8 thin slices
- 4 slices prosciutto (thin, about 2 oz)
- 1/2 Fuji apple or other, cut into 8 thin slices
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Butter, to coat the skillet
- In a small bowl, combine mustard and honey. Set aside.
- Assemble sandwiches: lay 1 slice of cheese on each of 4 slices of bread. Add 1 slice prosciutto, 2 slices apple, and 1 more cheese.
- Grind pepper on top, as desired.
- Spread 1 tbsp honey mustard on remaining 4 slices of bread and lay atop.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat, coat lightly with butter, and cook sandwiches until cheese has melted and bread is golden brown.
